Sun Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2 Food Drive for Mississauga Food Bank
Food insecurity in our city continues to worsen, and folks who are most at risk continue to bear the brunt of the increased cost of living and inflation. The number of food bank visits has risen by 20% to over 500,000 visits per year – the highest ever in our history!
In response to the Food Bank’s appeal to address food insecurity and poverty needs, parishioners are encouraged to bring donated non-perishable food to church on Sundays Oct 19, Oct 26 and Nov 2. The most needed food includes canned fish, canned meat, canned vegetables, peanut butter, cooking oil, flour, pasta, rice, etc. We will transfer all donated food to Mississauga Food Bank.
In addition, all the donated fresh produces collected from St E. Community Garden Network on October 19 will also be donated to Mississauga Food Bank the next day.
Let us pray to our Lord to help our community where everyone is food secure.
If you have any questions, please contact Bonny or email to mission@stechurch.com.
