Bishop Kevin Robertson Visiting St. Elizabeth’s
Our Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Kevin Robertson, will visit us THIS SUNDAY November 2 to officiate the joint Communion service and deliver a sermon. We kindly ask all brothers and sisters to set aside time for this occasion. On that day, our church will arrange simple refreshments before and after the service to welcome the bishop and fellow parishioners
Commission of Lay Reader Licenses
On Sunday, the bishop visits our church and grants "Lay Reader Licenses" to four of our church Lay Leaders. They are authorized to assist with worship services and share some responsibilities with the pastor. We thank Paul Seto, Fenella Chiu, Joel Chiu, and Yvonne Zheng for their commitment and dedication.
THIS Sun Nov 2 Food Drive for Mississauga Food Bank
Food insecurity in our city continues to worsen, and folks who are most at risk continue to bear the brunt of the increased cost of living and inflation. The number of food bank visits has risen by 20% to over 500,000 visits per year – the highest ever in our history!
In response to the Food Bank’s appeal to address food insecurity and poverty needs, parishioners are encouraged to bring donated non-perishable food to church on THIS SUNDAY Nov 2. The most needed food includes canned fish, canned meat, canned vegetables, peanut butter, cooking oil, flour, pasta, rice, etc. We will transfer all donated food to Mississauga Food Bank.
Let us pray to our Lord to help our community where everyone is food secure.
If you have any questions, please contact Bonny or email to mission@stechurch.com.
